Last month I went home to Jacksonville, FL, and visited nearby Fernandina Beach for the day with one of my good friends. I have known David (who by the way is also a photographer!) for about 13 years now and he was kind enough to drive up for a day from Orlando and show me around this beautiful and historical coastal community, which happens to be his hometown. He was such an awesome and comedic tour guide as he drove us around the scenic routes, pointing out to all the landmarks. Then at lunchtime, we went to a local favorite/oceanfront restaurant, Sliders, where we met up with his dear friend, Mary Agnes. What a lovely lady! She had so many interesting stories to tell and I really enjoyed getting to know her -- while I ate some of the best crab cakes ever by the beach. Afterwards, she invited us to her home where I took these few photos of her, David, and her furry friends, Micky and Queen. Even though the weather that day was rainy and overcast, it was a perfect day -- made so much better and brighter by great people like David and Mary Agnes! Two of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
