This just in: I'M KIND OF A BIG DEAL.

People always tell my husband, "You kinda look like Will Ferrell." True, he does have similar facial features (furry eyebrows and the "O'Connor nose"), and with the perfect look of concern in the right light -- this uncanny resemblance to the comedic actor becomes apparent. So when he recently got to work from home, he decided to boycott having to shave for a whole week. And well, as every day passed he began to look like the legendary anchorman himself, Ron Burgundy. I could not pass up the opportunity to photograph him as his famous doppelganger before the razor blade came out of hiding. 

We only had a day to run out to the thrift store and look for a newsworthy sport jacket in the perfect shade of dark red. But unable to locate anything in burgundy, let alone red, we settled for a blue one that was at least a good fit on him and I knew I would just have to tweak the color in post production. The night before he had to shave, we did the photo session at our dining table. He was a good sport, trying to channel the character and mimic Mr. Burgundy's facial expressions, and I think he did a marvelous job. Here are the pictures and the final image with special effects.
