Paris: People on Bikes Everywhere!Traveling in and around Paris is fairly easy and convenient. Between the Metro subway system, RER trains, buses, and taxis, the city's public transportation system has you covered. But another popular option is getting around by bike -- bicycles, motorcycles, and mopeds. Somehow I ended up photographing so many people riding their bikes during my visit. It's a fun subject matter and you can't help but see them everywhere. Most of these pictures were taken while I sat on the open-top double-decker L'Open Tour Bus for two days, so I had a great vantage point and was always in traffic! A majority of the bicycles I saw were the rental ones available from Vélib', Paris' bike-sharing system. There are rental stations throughout the city and the first half hour is always free. I love how they all have baskets!
Next up, my people watching skills continue... mostly of ones sitting in cafés. It's the Parisian thing to do. ;) Comments
