My Aunt's Wedding GiftWhat do I give my aunt who waited all her life for true love? Wedding pictures of course! Earlier this year, my Aunt Lydia (my dad's sister) married a wonderful man named Byron in a Catholic mass wedding in my hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Actually, it was a day that celebrated many traditional wedding customs of my homeland, the Philippines. From their attire, to the veil and cord ritual in the ceremony, to the 'money dance' at the reception, it was all about Filipino tradition. Heck, there was even lechon (roasted whole pig) at the dinner buffet table! Many friends and relatives traveled near and far to attend, including my Uncle Ben (who "gave away" my aunt) from Philadelphia with his family, as well as other relatives from Maryland, New Jersey, and nearby Gainesville and Ft. Lauderdale. Most of us had not seen each other in a long time until we arrived at the church. It was so great to see all of them in this family reunion, and it was so much fun to be the official family wedding photographer! Although we missed not being able to have other family members attend, I hope that my pictures and our traditions continue to connect us from across the miles. Comments

Thank you very much Grace for the very nice pictures you have taken of my wedding. These pictures are very memorable to me and for our whole family as well because my wedding was like a 'Family Reunion" to all. I cannot find words to express heartfelt gratitude for your GIFT to me on my wedding day...
